HOW PRISM CAN HELP

PRISM offers a complete range of diagnostic services, church-health, and leadership development consultations including:

Weekend Assessment
On-site weekend evaluation of ministry health and growth potential based on multiple interviews with staff, leaders, and workers as well as observation of service(s). Often done in conjunction with a congregational and an NCD survey.

Intentional interim
An intentional interim pastor provides strategic pastoral leadership to churches in crisis or in transition. The staff position can be that of the senior pastor, executive pastor, or a key ministry overseer.

Focusing/Re-Focusing Process
The Focusing/Re-Focusing process empowers churches to ask and answer seven strategic questions: 1) Who has God shaped us to be? (Core Values), 2) Why do we exist as a church? (Biblical Mission), 3) Where is God leading us in the future? (Vision Statement), 4) Whom has God called us to reach? (Ministry Focus), 5) Which model best facilitates our vision? (Ministry Model), 6) How will we accomplish our vision? (Ministry Goals), and 7) What is our plan for ministry for the next 2-4 years? (Strategic Mapping)

Staff coaching
Staff coaching uses the synergy of the organization and its people to empower them to transform their capacity for learning and renewal into the achievement of breakthrough results.

Strategic mapping (or, planning)
Strategic mapping is learning to anticipate the changing and seemingly random needs of the surrounding culture and developing ministries to meet those needs before the needs arise.

Small group dynamics
Practical training providing insight on how to cast vision for small groups, train and empower lay leaders, maintain accountability, launch and multiply groups, and integrate small groups into your church.

Leadership training tracks
There is a specific skill-set associated with each level of leadership. Intentional training systems can to be identified, developed, and deployed for each level.

Distance coaching/mentoring
Phone and/or email coaching is available.

Systems development for health & growth
The Church is the living body of Christ. Like all healthy organisms, it requires numerous interconnected systems which work together to fulfill its intended purpose. Each must be evaluated regularly to determine if it is still the best way to accomplish the intended purpose.

Full ministry audit
A full ministry audit provides an accurate understanding of the present ministry situation and issues that could hinder ministry effectiveness. A full ministry audit provides a comprehensive analysis of the health and growth potential of: orthodox Christian doctrine, leadership, shared ministry vision, emotional health, growth rate, newcomer hospitality, worship, children’s ministry, youth ministry, adult fellowship forums, communication systems, missional systems, financial stewardship, facilities, community engagement, spiritual contagion, small groups, organization/systems, member mobilization, conflict resolution, Christlike relationships, ethnography, and demographics.

Prayer ministry team training
A compassionate and listening prayer approach to personal ministry. The training also includes a theology of salvation with practical instruction on how to lead someone to Christ.

Conflict resolution
Developing solid conflict resolution skills and clear grievance procedures are essential to the health and growth potential of every organization. PRISM offers proactive training as well mediation services.

Natural Church Development (NCD) survey & report
Based on the book, “Natural Church Development” by Christian Schwarz (ChurchSmart Resources). The text is the result of a research project with 1000 churches from 32 countries on five continents in a quest to identify the commonalities of healthy and growing congregations.
