PRISM MISSION
Our mission is four-fold:
Extending the kingdom of God through serving church planters and established church leadership teams; clarifying God-given values, mission, and vision; and developing the plans and personnel to accomplish the vision.
How we think about values, mission, and vision
- Values answer the who question. Who are we? (What makes our church or organization unique or distinctive?)
- Mission answers the what question. What has God called us to do? (All churches have the same mission – some variation of the Great Commission – Mat 28:18-20.)
- Vision answers the how question. How will be fulfill our mission?
To put it all together think of it like a equation… Values + Mission = Vision
We don’t decide on vision, we discover it – by commingling values and mission. Do the hard work of vales determination (they must be practiced values, not just stated values) and mission development — and then let it percolate…
